Getting around in Huntingdon, PA

There are not many public transportation options to choose from in Huntingdon, and therefore, the most popular way to get around is by driving, but, for short distances, walking or riding the bike are also an option.

 

However, Huntingdon has an Amtrak station, located at the south end of the borough, along one of the major streets into Huntingdon (4th Street), just north of the Juniata River, currently only served by Amtrak's Pennsylvanian, the borough being the only stop on the Pennsylvanian route, between Harrisburg and Pittsburgh, that does not have bus service, either local or intercity, of any kind within one mile of the station.

- Head east on Saarinen Cir and continue onto Dulles Airport Access and Toll Rd. Take the exit toward VA-267 W, keep right at the fork and merge onto VA-267 W.

- Take exit 1B to merge onto US-15 N/VA-7 E/Leesburg Bypass, toward Frederick Md, and, at the roundabout, continue straight onto US-15. Take the ramp onto I-70 W.

- Take exit 32B to merge onto US-40 W/National Pike, toward Hagerstown, and turn right at N Burhans Blvd. Continue onto US-11 N/Pennsylvania Ave and turn left at PA-16 W/W Baltimore St/Buchanan Trail E.

- Turn right at PA-16 W/Buchanan Trail W and again at US-522 N/N 2nd St/Great Cove Rd. Turn left at US-22 W and right at S 4th St.

- Take the 3rd left onto Penn St and turn right at 8th St. Make a slight left at Mifflin St and turn right at 18th St.

- Turn left at Moore St and take the 1st right onto 19th St.
