Men and women were given cartoons to look at, while having their brains monitored with an MRI, men showing less brain activity. It was found that men expected the cartoons to be funny, thus starting to laugh sooner, while women evaluated the cartoons with much more thought, their brain revealing the fact that they experienced more delight with each cartoon.
