The city does not currently have a public transportation service, but there is something planned in the future regarding this matter. TMP, which is the City’s Transportation Master Plan, has been discussed in the past year, and has been set to create realistic transportation goals and needs for the next 20 years. However, nothing has been actually realized, for now, and therefore, the main mode of transportation to get around in Valdosta is by car.

 

Visitors can also choose to walk their way through the city and they can also ride the bike to get around.

 

Major Highways and Roads 

 

The major highways and roads, which serve Valdosta, include: I-75 (SR 8), which runs north to south through a western section of Valdosta, U.S. Highway 84 (Wiregrass Georgia Parkway), which runs west to east, bisecting the city, and State Route 7, which runs nouth to south, entering the city at the Withlacoochee River.
