The public bus service is provided by JCT (Johnson City Transport), which operates a system of buses inside the city limits, including a route every fifteen minutes along Roan Street, also running the BucShot, which is a system that serves the greater ETSU campus. The Greyhound Lines also serve Johnson City, through the Johnson City Transit Center, located downtown on West Market Street.

 

The regular, adult, one-way fare is of $0.75. Transfers are free. The buses usually run once at every hour, from Monday through Friday, from 6:15 a.m. to 6:15 p.m., and on Saturday from 8:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m (last 30-minute route begins at 4:45 p.m.).

Turn left to merge onto I-26 E/US-23 S, toward Johnson City, and take exit 20 for US-11E N/Roan St/US-19W N. Keep right at the fork, following the signs for US-11E S, and merge onto US-11E S/N Roan St. Continue to follow US-11E S and turn left at N State of Franklin Rd. Turn right at John Roberts Bell Dr. Turn left. ETSU will be on the left.
