Big Brutus, ''a Museum and Memorial Dedicated to the Rich Coal Mining History in Southeast Kansas'', an imposing 160-feet tall steel structure, known to be the largest electric shovel in the world. Hours vary with the season.

Crawford County Historical Museum, which can be found between Atkinson Road & 20th Street on Hwy. 69, where visitors can explore the colorful history of Crawford County and its residents through the interesting exhibits.
