One of the most popular and favorite annual sporting events in Florida, is considered to be the ING Miami Marathon and Half Marathon, which takes place in January, in Miami, at Miami Beach, offering runners one of the most flattest and scenic courses in the country.

 

The 2011 ING Marathon is scheduled on January 30, and will take 18 000 participants on an entertaining course, through some of the most beautiful areas in the city, including downtown Miami.

 

The event is quickly growing in both size and popularity, as the years go by, becoming one of the most favorite sporting events for runners throughout the world.

Nightlife

 

University Park does not have a nightlife scene. There aren't any worthwhile places and there are certainly no `hot` nightspots, here.

 

 

The good thing is, that you can always get behind the wheel and drive to Miami, which is approximately 3 hours, by car, from University Park, or Orlando, which is 12 miles away from University Park, where there are plenty of `nightly` choices, and where you and your friends can dance the night away, shoot some pool, have a drink or two and relax, or do anything you can think of in order to make your night out enjoyable.
