San Rafael, CA is an area that offers many attractions to the visitors, because of the vecinity of the Marin and its local must-see sites, all kept together by a fantastic landscape:

- MISSION SAN RAFAEL ARCANGEL, Mission San Rafael Arcangel is a replica built in 1949 of the original 1817 Mission. The building has been restored and now includes a souvenir shop and a museum.

- MARIN COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY. the Boyd House, a beautiful high Victorian Gothic building in a dreamy garden, is the home of the Marin Historical Society Museum.

It is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Here you can find a detailed and impressive collection of local historical photos and artifacts.

- China Camp State Park . The China Camp State Park is the last Chinese shrimpfishing village in the state.

Today, the site offers hiking and picnicking opportunities and the visitors can contemplate the melancholic panorama.

- The Marin County Civic Center, completed 10 years after the death of Frank Lloyd Wright, its designer, the Marin County Civic Center in San Rafael is an outstanding example of Wright's unique designs.

As shown in many of his works, Wright succeeded in blending the center in with its surroundings using stones, rocks, steel and concrete, circular patterns and Oriental themes.

Individual tours of the building are offered every Wednesday at 10:30am, or by appointment for groups of 10 or more.

The Annual Street Downtown San Rafael is the host of a seven hundred national cycling athletes competing for the title, and more than 12,000 spectators.
