The Annual Waco's Best Dam Run in Texas, happening in June, is as the name suggests, an annual dam run, consisting of a 5k run and a 1k fun run/walk, provided by Waco Striders Running Club, in which numerous runners competes for the $100 cash prize (5k run). The 5k run is held across the beautiful Lake Waco dam, offering amazing views of the lake's surroundings.

 

The entering fees for participating at this fun, entertaining annual event in Waco, are as follows: $20 for the 5k run and $15 for the 1 k run, before June 2, and $25 and $20 after the reminded date. Even tough the event is new, (having its 8th annual celebration in 2010) it is fast growing in popularity, attracting more runners, as well as spectators, every year.


Festivals
