Visit the Winchester Mystery House, situated on South Winchester Boulevard, one of the oddest houses ever built, constructed by Sarah Winchester, who was convinced that she was haunted. She continued to work at the house until the day she passed away, and this Victorian-style labyrinth resulted, features doors that open onto thin air, others open into the wall, including stairs and corridors that lead to dead ends.

 

Show your kids a good time by taking them to the Children's Discovery Museum, on Woz Way, which offers 2 floors of interesting and intriguing exhibits that will certainly keep the little ones interested during the entire walk through the museum.

 

Sports & outdoor events

The Annual Quicksilver Challenge Half Marathon & 10k, which happens in September, is perhaps one of the most popular annual sporting events in San Jose. This fun and entertaining event offers a trail course which takes runners through the scenic and hilly roads of Almaden County Quicksilver Park, located just south of San Jose, challenging beginners and professional marathon runners, alike, through the 13.1-mile course, filled with wooden trails, peaceful oak forests and open meadows.
