Among the most popuar attractions, in and around Clinton, SC, there are:

Musgrove Mill State Historic, which is approximately 10 miles from Clinton, a peaceful setting in the Piedmont woods that stands in sharp contrast to the bloody struggle waged there on Aug. 19, 1780, when a group of 200 Patriot militiamen rode to strike what they thought was an equal number of Loyalists at Musgrove Mill on the Enoree River, instead, finding themselves outnumbered, being forced to take a strong defensive position, luring the Loyalists into a fierce fight that turned into a near rout after the British attack collapsed. The park stands as a ''memorial'' to the struggle, the visitor center being filled with interpretive exhibits which focus on the Battle of Musgrove Mill and also detail South Carolina’s pivotal role in the Revolutionary War.

Clinton Museum, which ''works to preserve and protect the story of the community and to preserve artifacts associated with our shared history for future generations.'' The museum is open from 2 PM to 5 PM each Sunday, tours also being given by appointment.

James Dunklin House, located in nearby Laurens, built by Washington Willliams for his daughter Nancy, upon her marriage to James Watts Jr. The house was owned by the Todd family from from 1845 to 1938, afterwards, bing acquired James Dunklin, an antiques collector and historic preservationist, who donated the housed to the Laurens County Landmarks Foundation, being today used as a museum, since James died, in 1973. The house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
