The Marathon Rowing Championship, scheduled on November 13, in 2010, is perhaps one of the most popular and favorite annual sporting events in Natchitoches, LA. This year, the 26.2-mile marathon will be celebrating its 21st edition and the official host is Northern State University.

 

The race will be held as always on Cane River Lake, beginning near the Melrose Plantation and ending at Front Street, in Natchitoches. The typical time to complete the course is from 3 to 4 hours, and the record time was set in 2008, being of 2 hours, 31 minutes and 20 seconds.
