Sports & outdoor events

The `Cruisin’ The Bayou` event, which happens in April, is a an annual Thibodaux sporting event which actually serves as a fundraising event for local non-profit organizations.

 

The 14th (2010) edition was held on April 18, and the proceeds were used to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

 

The event started at Peltier Park and attracted hundreds of curious people and enthusiasts, from all over the region.

 

Festivals

Every year, in October, Thibodaux celebrates the Louisiana Gumbo Festival of Chackbay, which offers visitors 3 days of fun and entertaining activities, including delicious Cajun food, all kinds of amusing rides and plenty of music.
