The Larry Yeagle Trail Marathon, which happens in March, is considered to be one of the most popular annual sporting events in Ruston, LA. The marathon was started by Aubrey Hogan to honor Larry Yeagle, who served as her running mentor when she first started to run.

 

The inaugural race was run in March, 2008, and since then the race was held annually, in the same month.
