ATTRACTIONS

Visit the Wonderlab Science Museum, which can be found on West 4th Street, a popular Bloomington attraction, filled with interesting and interactive exhibits and displays, which will certainly arouse your curiosity ($7 adults and $6 for children).

 

Have fun at the Twin Lakes Recreation Center, on West Bloomfield Road, where you can enjoy recreational opportunities such as fitness, basketball, soccer, volleyball or football.

 

Taste a bit of the local history by visiting the Monroe County History Center, located on East 6th Street.

 

Spend a fun day out with the family at Monroe Lake, on South SR 446, where, in addition to the scenic surroundings that catch the eye, you can also enjoy the beach, swim or fish, among other recreational opportunities.

 

Sports & outdoor events

The Indiana University Mini Marathon & 5K, which happens in April, has quickly grown in one of the state's most popular road races, including in one of Bloomington's most popular annual sporting events, drawing thousands of runners, from all over the region, each year.

 

Both the marathon and the 5K run start at the IU campus, near Assembly Hall and Memorial Stadium, offering runners a scenic, out-and-back course, through the city streets and grass pastures, revealing some of the city's most beautiful features and landmarks.
