The Annual Muncie Sprint/Double Duathlon is a popular sporting event that was recently added on the list of sport-related events that take place in Muncie, IN.

 

The event is held at Prairie Creek Reservoir, in May, and it is dedicated to promote health and wellness through the many athletic activities offered, including a 5k sprint, a 20k bike race and a 10k run.

In September, the people of Muncie City celebrate the Old Washington Street Festival, featuring the cultural and historical heritage of Kimbrough Historic District and the surrounding area, through various events that include demonstrations of contemporary and century-old art crafts.

 

The Annual Summer Heat Air Festival is another great, popular festival that happens in Muncie, IN, in June, offering showcases of hot air balloons, concerts, an air show and an entertaining carnival. The festival is also offering flying demonstrations by professional pilots, such as the Firebirds Aerobatic Team or the Army Black Daggers.
