The University of Hawaii Manoa was founded in 1907, as a land grant college which was focused on agriculture and mechanical arts, being renamed in 1912 as the College of Hawaii and relocated on its present site.
UH Manoa is known today as a public university located in Manoa, Honolulu, being the flagship campus of the University of Hawaii system. Both of the teams have won various titles over the years, being notable for their highly-ranked men's and women's volleyball, basketball, baseball and football programs.
