Attractions

The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. Visitors will find here a zoo, a natural history museum, botanical gardens and an aquarium. The museum also provides live animal exhibits and plant displays, from the Sonoran Dessert. It is a very popular family attraction here, in Tucson and it is located at 2021 N Kinney Road. There are numerous public programs provided, including Sonoran Studies and Running Wild. Colossal Cave Mountain Park. There are many outdoor attractions gathered at the Colossal Mountain Park. The Tucson Rodeo, also known as `Fiesta de los Vaqueros` is an annual sporting event held in Tucson, in early spring. It is a popular event that points the beginning of the rodeo season in USA. The Tucson Rodeo contains seven professional rodeo events, including bareback riding, tie-down roping, bull riding and steer wrestling.


The World Golf Championship is held at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club and it is a major sporting event in Southern Arizona. Festivals

The Tucson Gem and Mineral Show is held in Tucson every year, for two weeks, in February. It is considered to be among the largest mineral and gem shows in the world. Several universities and museums have displayed their collections here, including the Smithsonian Institution and Sorbonne.


The Tucson Folk Festival has been held in Tucson, every year, for the past 20 years. It takes place at El Presidio Park, at the first Saturday and Sunday of May. Over 100 local musicians, as well as regional musicians, are highlighted at the festival on 5 stages. It is the largest festival in United States that is free of charge.
