Due to the fact that Ita Benna is a small community, there aren't many tourist attractions around.

 

However, there are plenty of interesting things to see in nearby Greenwood:

Explore by foot the Florewood River Plantation State Park, on County Road 145.

Sports & outdoor events

The Mississippi Track Club Half Marathon Run/Walk, which happens in December, in Madison, which is approximately 2 hours, by car, from Itta Bena, is considered to be among the most popular annual road races in the state of Mississippi. Every year, more than 100 enthusiastic runners are taken on a scenic, out-and-back course through neighborhoods, rural areas and country roads, starting and finishing at Madison Central High School on Highland Colony Parkway. As the name of the event suggests, both walkers and runners are welcome to participate, and spectators and cheering crowds are always welcome!
