ATTRACTIONS

 

The Independence Park is a good option to spend a fun day out with the family. The park contains a gymnasium, skating areas, softball and racquetball facilities, as well as volleyball courts and the Janet Evans Swim Complex.

Sports & outdoor events

 

The Cal State Fullerton Titans are bringing excitement to Fullerton City every time they play. Head coach Dave Serrano has guided the baseball team into the College World Series, a conference championship, 2 Regional title and 2 Super Regional Appearances.

 

The basketball team from Cal State Fullerton had made the second appearance in the NCAA tournament, and won the second conference tournament championship. They also set the best victory record in Division I, having a total of 24 victories and only 9 losses.

 

Festivals

 

The annual Winter Fest takes place in downtown Fullerton, every year, in December. Children can take free pictures with Santa, which is sponsored by the Fire Department, and there are also food booths, face painting, live bands, caroling, and craft booths.

 

The Tree Lighting Ceremony starts at 5 pm and it is the highlight of this event, sponsored by the Fullerton Downtown Business Association, in association with the Fullerton Chamber of Commerce and the City of Fullerton.

 

The Piano Ensemble Festival is a tradition of Fullerton College, held every year in January. The participants are selected from closed auditions and invited to perform at the evening concert.

 

Another Fullerton College tradition is the Annual High school Theatre Festival, featuring a 2-day competition in which thousands of high school theatre students are participating, coming from all over the country. The festival is filled with open performances, workshops and many fun activities.
